Grants to insulate your home
Two programs can help: Hydro-Québec's LogisVert for the attic and caulking, and the Quebec government's Rénoclimat for the attic, walls and foundations.
LogisVert: roof insulation and caulking
One grant for both jobs, which must both be done.
- You own a house: single-family, semi-detached, row house, mobile home or cottage.
- Electricity is the main heating source.
- The whole attic is insulated to R-50 (RSI 8.8) or more.
- Caulking is done wherever air leaks: windows, doors, hatch, range hood, fans, outlets and fireplace.
- The work is done by a company registered with the Registraire des entreprises and holding an RBQ licence.
- You apply online at logisvert.ca, no later than 9 months after the work.
Documents to provide
- Proof of ownership: the property tax bill or the first page of the deed of sale.
- The paid invoice. Among other things, it shows the date of the work, the address, the RBQ licence number, the GST and QST numbers, the new R-value of the roof and the detailed list of caulking.
- You apply online only, at logisvert.ca.
What we do for you
We do the work to the program's criteria and prepare an invoice with the information required. The application is in your name, and we fill it out online with you.
Timelines
- You must apply no later than 9 months after the work.
- Hydro-Québec may visit the house within 6 months of the application.
- The grant arrives by mail, 10 to 12 weeks after a complete application.
Rénoclimat
Since October 1, 2026, Rénoclimat has new rules:
- The energy evaluation before the work is no longer mandatory.
- Aid for the attic, exterior walls and foundations is calculated per square foot, with a minimum area.
- The work must be done by an RBQ-licensed contractor.
- Aid for airtightness no longer exists in this part of the program.
If your house was evaluated before that date under the old rules, you must finish the work and have the post-work evaluation done by March 31, 2027. The amounts are in the Rénoclimat participant's guide.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get LogisVert twice?
No. The roof insulation measure is only available once per home.
I heat with gas. Am I eligible for LogisVert?
For this measure, electricity must be the main heating source. Rénoclimat may apply: we'll check with you.
I'm a tenant.
The LogisVert grant is paid only to the owner of the house.
Who applies?
You do, online at logisvert.ca, and we help you fill it out. We give you the invoice and the list of work you need.
